Before My Spray Tan Tips & Tricks!

Picture

Before you airbrush tan you will want to do a few things to ensure that you get the best possible results.
Your envolvement plays a big part also
in how your color turns out.
Below you will find step by step instructions to get the most out of your session and
most gorgeous results!

GREAT IDEA!!

Exfoliate: Use a Sugar scrub & loofah. Stay away from oily scrubs that can leave a barrier on the skin. Shave & Exfoliate at least 2 or more hours before spray tan. Also use a ***Sulfate-free body wash*** that will keep your skin free of any soap residue. If you do not exfoliate on a weekly basis, be careful not to scrub to much. This can cause skin to be red and irritated. Ask your tanning pro what products recommended!

Loose Fitting Clothes:  Loose fitting clothes only. You don’t want your tan rubbing off when you get dressed. Have Flip flops instead of socks/shoes, no white feet! Avoid any tight fitting clothes.

Waxing & Mani/Pedi’s: Get your waxing or mani-pedicure done at least 24 hours before your spray tan to ensure optimal tan results. ***Do not get after spray tan***

WORST IDEA!!

Moisturizer:
Before your spray tan, avoid moisturizers after you shower. The hydrating properties act as a barrier & prevents tan proper development. Also, your tan may fade more quickly with any residue left on the skin.

Shaving:  Do NOT Shave right before your application. We recommend at least 2-4 hours before a spray tan, minimum. Shave the day before & anytime after first shower w/NEW RAZOR. Shaving to close to your spray tan causes pores to absorb solution & may cause a “freckling” effect that can last entire time of spray tan.

Makeup & Parfume
: Anything covering your skin can result in an uneven absorption of solution. Sounds silly but even perfume can be a culprit. Stay clear of any perfume a week prior to application, as oils stay on skins' surface longer.
